Low Cost

Effective Pull up Trainer

The secret is behind the sheets.

Every year school kids take the Presidential fitness test. The pull up is one of the tests that many children fail. Last year my own son couldn't do one pull up so I invented a way that he could begin training in increments. He did 5 for his test.

I invented this device when I couldn't find anything else. The hardest part of learning to do pull ups is being able to do the first several. Many people have a lower upper body strength to body weight ratio. This is true of most children and women. If a person needs someone to always be around helping to lift them up then the exercise is less likely to be practiced. This device simply takes care of that function allowing a person to practice on their own. It's all in the counter force.

Even if a person is over weight this still allows them to do full pull ups with the assistance of the pull up trainer.

It has been years since I had been able to do any pull ups or chin ups and now I am once again training..

Gyms throughout the country have machines that perform the same function but can cost upwards of several thousand dollars. Another reason I invented this simple-to-build device.

By the way, the only tools you'll need are a drill, screwdriver and a saw. You may not even need a saw if your local lumber yard will cut one small 2x4 to length.

For about $25 in parts from a local hardware store and 1 hour of time I was able to make something that did the same thing as a thousand dollar piece of gym equipment. For $20 plus $2.50 shipping and handling I will ship you a DVD and shopping list (bill of materials) that shows you how to build your own.

This is also great for building upper body strength for sports such as baseball and basketball.
